Chat assistants
You type a question, you get an answer. For most people this is where AI starts.
ChatGPT
OpenAI's assistant, and most people's first encounter with AI. Handles Estonian well enough to do real work in.
Claude
Anthropic's assistant. Strong on long text and code — a whole document fits in one go, not a couple of paragraphs.
Gemini
Google's assistant, wired into Google's own services. If your work already lives in Docs and Gmail, it is the closest to hand.
Search and research
Answers the question and shows where the answer came from. Useful when the source matters as much as the answer.
Perplexity
Search that answers in sentences and links to where each claim came from. Good when you have to check the source.
Images
Describe it in words, get a picture. Illustration, mock-up, mood shot.
Midjourney
An image generator whose strength is how a picture looks — light, composition, mood. It handles photorealism well now, but what sets it apart is still style rather than accuracy.
Video
Short clips from a line of text or a still image.
Runway
RunwayA video generator whose strength is control: reference images, character consistency across shots and a built-in editor. Aimed at people making video for work rather than for fun.
Kling
KlingVideo from text or from a still, with sound and editing in the same place. Cheaper than most rivals, which makes trying several versions affordable.
Voice
Text that speaks. Narration, podcasts, dubbing — and Estonian is still the weak spot.
ElevenLabs
Reads text aloud and clones voices. Estonian is among the seventy-odd languages it supports.
3D
A model in space, from text or an image. Games, prototypes, visualisation.
Meshy
MeshyTurns text or an image into a 3D model. Useful for getting to a prototype quickly rather than to a finished asset.
Coding
Writes code, and explains code that already exists.
Cursor
A code editor rather than a plugin: the AI works as an agent and carries tasks through itself. For people who write code anyway.
GitHub Copilot
Finishes your code and explains code you did not write. Works in VS Code, JetBrains and others, including as a limited free tier.
Marketing
Banners, ads, design — the things a customer actually sees.
Canva
CanvaA design tool with AI built in: text, images, mock-ups. The free tier is genuinely usable, which is rare and matters if you are a small business.
AdCreative.ai
AdCreative.aiTurns a product photo into ad banners and video ads, and compares them against competitors'. Aimed at e-commerce and agencies; there is no free tier.
